Scrapbooking Blogs

I have spent some time this morning surfing through some scrapbooking blogs. Now that my table has been cleared, I really want to get into the swing of things again. So as I was searching for some inspiration, I came across a blog that made me realize just how diverse the scrapbooking world is. There was a discussion going on about one picture layouts. Some people love them. They say that you should only need one or two photos to tell the story, that the one photo and the journal should be enough. Other people like multiple photos - they need to find ways to creatively put multiple photos on each page without looking overloaded. I fall into that second category. And I just realized why - it's because I don't have any children. If you look through different galleries online, you will realize that probably 90% of the single picture layouts are of children. When I scrapbook, it is to tell a story, to relive an event. You can't do that with just one photo. Who knows - maybe once I have kids my scrapbooking style will completely change.

My sisters, sister-in-law and I had a scrapbook night about a month back, and I did complete a layout. Well, I don't have photos on it, but that is all that's missing! I am hoping to take some time either tonight or tomorrow to go through some finished layouts, decide which photos need to go on them, and get them printed. So hopefully, I will be able to scan some completed layouts by the end of the week to post. We'll see how things go!!
